WHAT?
A team of HRM Sea, Army and Air Cadets will serve as Protocol Escorts for VIPs (Lt. Gov, Premier, foreign dignitaries, etc) at the 2017 Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
WHO?
The cadets who are chosen must display exemplary dress and deportment, exhibit mature and responsible behaviour and relate well with the public. Along with escorting the VIPs, the cadets will also be participating in an Honor Guard and a Cadet Information Booth.
WHEN?
Ideally cadets are expected to be available for all performances, however realizing that some cadets will be attending a summer training centre, this will be reviewed case by case. There will also be exceptions made in the case of graduations, etc.
Exact dates and timing to follow:
Rehearsal will be 7:00 pm on Jun 28th and the show runs from Jun 29th to Jul 6th
NOTE: All cadets will be free to leave after intermission, as their duties will be completed at that time.
WHERE?
Cadets are to meet at the entrance of the World Trade and Convention Centre Argyle St, Halifax, NS
WHY?
To contribute to the success of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and promote a positive image for the Canadian Cadet Organization.
Dress Requirements
The dress is full uniform (C-1 Ceremonial) for performances.
Participating cadets will also receive:
- Admission to the Youth Cast Party (Details TBA)
- Two free tickets for the RNSIT Preview Show (29 Jun)
- Tattoo T-Shirt
- A personalized letter of thanks (RNSIT Letterhead) indicating the volunteer work that was completed and the level to which it was performed. This can be useful for future job, bursary/scholarship and award applications.
