Our band is a military brass and reed style band meaning we are made up of instruments from the woodwind, brass and percussion family. We have instruments such as – flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, glockenspiel, snare drum, and cymbals. Although we do not have brass players currently we are always accepting new cadets into the band. We provide instruction and we can even provide the instrument (providing we have access to one).
Our band plays on parade every Monday night and holds regular practices on Wednesday evenings (1830-2030hrs). Throughout the year we play in parades such as Remembrance Day and the Bedford Parade of Lights.
During the summer cadets have the opportunity to attend summer training. Cadets who are particularly interested in pursuing music instruction can attend a three week or six week music course. Cadets can receive instruction for Brass and Reed band or they can receive instruction for Pipes and Drums. Click here to see more information on Summer Training.
Cadets interested in the Pipes and Drums style music have the opportunity to play with a youth pipes and drums band on Thursday nights.
Below you can find links to level music for each instrument as well as the mast band drill manual.
